Trip Report: 06 Blue Streak Challenge
You may be thinking that riding a rollercoaster again and again may get boring. But it really wasn't. Every trip was unique and I enjoyed everyone. We rode up till noon. Then I went ate some park pizza and went to the bathroom, right when I was about to get on I was asked for an interview with The Erie Times News. Which made it in the paper the next day. Surprisingly I never got sick, I did have a minor headache but nothing that would keep me from riding. The challenge was so fun but it went by too quick, next thing I knew the sun was starting to set, thats when I realized that the fun was just starting. I never rode the blue streak at night but its 100% better then during the day, except for the bugs! Those things really hurt when they hit you in the face! The Blue Streak didn't have any lights, except for one flood that was aimed up the lift hill. So when you dropped down the first hill it looked like you were going down an endless pit! Also I enjoyed looking backwards and watching the sparks fly off the back. Every wooden rollercoaster produces sparks, you just cant see them in the day. The challenge ended was fast as the night came. In the end we did 248 laps (even though the sign says 247). Since the park was open we weren't able to break the record of 300 laps but it was a blast. I know the park will open again, I hope that they'll have another challenge, if they do IM IN!! Photobucket
